Nearly 20 miles south of downtown Denver and directly south of Centennial, Colo., Lone Tree is small but filled with arts and culture, shopping and recreational opportunities. The area was incorporated in 1995 and is considered one of the top places to live in the South Denver Metro area. Many of its resident’s commute to jobs in Denver or other suburbs, and the Sky Ridge Medical Facility is a big employer.

The Community of Lone Tree

Lone Tree is bisected by Interstate 25 with the southwest part of the city housing the hospital and many businesses. Colorado State Highway 470 also runs through Lone Tree and provides access via Yosemite Street. Most of the residential areas are to the west of the interstate and shopping is primarily to the north.

The Lone Tree Arts Center is one of the reasons why the city has a thriving arts and culture scene.
