Learn About This Location

Jersey City is the second largest city in New Jersey after Newark. As of 2015, it had an approximate population of 264,290. It's bound on the east by the Hudson River and Upper New York Bay and on the west by the Hackensack River and Newark Bay. With 11 miles of waterfront and railroad connections, the city is a major transportation hub and distribution center for New York and New Jersey. The finance and service industries along with easy access to Manhattan have shaped the redevelopment of the waterfront and one of the nation's largest central business districts.
