Muskogee is a city in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, and the site of Bacone College, approximately 48 miles from Tulsa. The population of the city was 39,223 as of 2010, making it the eleventh-largest city in the state. The 1951 film Jim Thorpe, All American was filmed in Muskogee. Two feature films were shot there more recently: Salvation (2007) and Denizen (2010).
