New Brunswick is a city in Middlesex County, New Jersey, and the home of Rutgers University. It's located 27 miles southwest of Manhattan, on the southern bank of the Raritan. Due to the concentration of medical facilities in the area, New Brunswick is known as "the Hub City," The headquarters and production facilities of several pharmaceutical giants are in the city, including Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
New Brunswick is unique for its ethnic diversity. At one time one out of three city residents were Hungarian- the Hungarian community continues to exist together with growing Asian and Hispanic communities that have developed around French Street.
