Founded in 1999 by Tom Atchison in Reston, Virginia, National Corporate Housing began with a clear vision: to simplify short-term housing and deliver exceptional, personalized service. With roots in real estate, hospitality, and corporate housing, Tom turned his expertise into a people-first company that continues to lead the way home.
Chief Executive Officer
Housing industry veteran, problem-solver, and lifelong entrepreneur, Tom Atchison is our founder and the driving force behind our strong work culture, commitment to excellence, and continued strategic growth.
With degrees from Oregon State and the University of Denver, Tom knows how to find untapped markets. He honed his managerial and leadership skills at R&B Realty, Trammell Crow Residential, Summit Properties, and ExecuStay. He opened the first National office in Reston, Virginia. Since then, he’s opened 29 offices in the US and around the world and established National as a global leader in short-term housing across multiple sectors and industries.
President & Chief Operating Officer
A people person in every sense of the word, Misty Gregarek has 15+ years of experience with National as HR Manager, HR Director, VP of HR, Senior Vice President of HR, Chief Talent Officer, and now, President and COO. With a communications degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, she excels at creating a work culture that delivers for clients and employees.
With “people first” as her mantra, Misty oversees corporate housing and company operations. She consults on global business acquisitions, mentoring programs, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. Every day, she personifies the sense of purpose that makes us an industry leader.
Chief Innovation Officer
Growth, ingenuity, excellence—Peggy has a knack for unlocking business potential. A trailblazer in workforce mobility, she led Worldwide ERC® for a decade and spent 13 years with Microsoft’s Mobility Center of Excellence. Today, she focuses on revenue growth, customer experience, and tech product strategy—connecting big-picture vision with seamless execution. Her writing has appeared in Forbes.com, HR.com, SHRM, Fortune, and others. She holds a BA in Marketing from Seattle University.
Beyond work, Peggy serves on the Advisory Council for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra Board, and as Vice Chair at Skills, Inc. She’s also a devoted supported of the arts and an enthusiastic high-handicap golfer.
Vice Chair
A keen analytical thinker, Daniel joined National in 2020 after serving as its outside legal counsel since 1999. In his college days at Cornell, he captained the soccer and NCAA championship lacrosse teams. He was named one of the NCAA’s Top Five student-athletes—a testament to his inspiring leadership and teamwork.
Astute, analytical, and unflappable, Daniel oversees legal affairs, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives for National. He earned his degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, was a founding partner of The Jefferson Law Firm, and a long-time partner at Womble Bond Dickinson.
Chief Financial Officer
A strategist with an eye for sustainable growth, Ho Wan currently leads National’s financial strategy, global operations, and capital planning. His superpower? Translating data into decisions that drive performance and add long-term value.
A mastermind at boosting profitability and efficiency, Ho Wan honed his investment banking chops at KPMG Corporate Finance, Arcstone Partners, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Since 2016, Ho Wan has served as VP of Finance and Corporate Development, Director of Corporate Development, and Corporate Development Manager at National, where he is the go-to guru for strategic growth.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Roxane M. Plant is an accomplished global HR executive and board leader with deep expertise in people strategy, organizational transformation, and culture building. Most recently Chief People Officer at Nextworld, she has held senior roles across SaaS, healthcare, energy, senior living, and hospitality, successfully leading enterprise change, M&A integration, and global workforce expansion.
She currently serves as Governance Chair for the Museum of Boulder and is a certified senior HR professional with advanced credentials including SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Prosci Certified Change Practitioner (PCCP), and certifications in total rewards, leadership coaching, agile change, and behavioral assessments. She is passionate about enabling high-performing teams, fostering inclusive workplaces, and aligning people strategy with long-term business success.
