Furnished Housing

Deadline to sign up for furnished housing: March 31st, 2020

Furnished apartments are provided by National Corporate Housing. You will pay National Corporate Housing directly via credit card for your rent. When renting from National Corporate Housing, the housing process is managed from start to finish, creating a seamless and convenient transition into the area. Corporate housing is defined as a furnished residential apartment, house, or condominium made available for rent on a short-term basis, primarily for 30 days or more. Corporate housing is typically located within apartment communities.

What is included with furnished housing?

• Laundry access (in some locations washer/dryer in apartment)
• Living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture
• Bedroom and bathroom linens
• Kitchen items (pots, pans, silverware, etc..)
• Utilities including cable and complementary high speed Internet.
• Community rent
• Electronics
• No hidden fees or deposits - Set up/application fees/deposits are paid by National Corporate Housing
• High touch service throughout your stay – Set up, maintenance requests, follow up, etc.
• Convenient locations in and around major metropolitan areas
• Double the square footage of hotel rooms and suite hotels
• More like home than a hotel

The above items and services are paid for and provided by National Corporate Housing. Residents pay one monthly bill to National Corporate Housing – All inclusive of the above.

What is NOT included under the furnished housing package?

• Long distance telephone calls
• Premium cable channels
• Pay-per-view movies
• Damages and incidentals are the responsibility of residents

Roommates

Corporate housing is most cost effective when splitting rent with other Lockheed Martin Interns. When renting from National Corporate Housing, National accommodates roommates in all locations. National recommends renting a 2 bedroom apartment and splitting rent between 4 interns.

• Sign up for housing by contacting National
• All Roommates must have each other’s names on their request form in order for the roommate matching to be successful.
• All roommates must indicate the same move-in and move-out dates.
• Roommates must submit furnished housing request within 48 hours of one another
• National will manage the property placement and roommate assignments. While we try to accommodate all roommate requests, unfortunately we cannot guarantee them. We will let you know as soon as possible if your chosen option is no longer available.

Important Things to Know

• Housing Availability- National Corporate Housing cannot guarantee rates or availability in furnished apartments. Rates and availability are based on current market conditions. As apartments start filling up for the summer season, availability is limited and rates will increase.
• Reservations - Don’t wait until the last minute! If interested in furnished housing, find a roommate and contact National right away. Reservations are available on a first come first serve basis. Once you sign a lease, your rate and reservation is locked in.
• Cancellations- Once the lease has been signed you will not be able to cancel.
• Many locations are convenient to your new worksite. Some are along public transportation and some are not. It is the resident responsibility to map out the commute, expected commute times, and transportation options.

Payment Responsibility

Payment for housing and travel related services are billed to each individual intern, even in roommate situations. National Corporate Housing accepts payment by credit card. Late fees and penalties are applied if payment is not received on the agreed upon date.

Renters Insurance

Renters insurance is recommeded and highly encouraged. You can obtain renters insurance through your current insurance broker or online for example at www.erenterplan.com. Most apartment communities will require renters insurance.

Smoking

All apartments are smoke-free.
